TRAILER MECHANICS

Truck trailer repair specialists who have the knowledge, skills, and habilities required to diagnose defects and perform maintenance on electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, running gears, coupling devices, refrigeration units. Trailer mechanics should also be able to replace and repair bodywork and chassis frame parts due to wear and tear or road accidents. Perfect for tinkerers of all types. Will work with a wide range of systems and materials.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Repairs
  • Inspections
  • Maintenance of trailer’s suspension, brakes, and electronic system

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Have obtained Secondary III credits (or the equivalent) in Language of instruction, Second language, and Mathematics
  • Have obtained an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary Studies (AESS)
  • 1. Have successfully completed the General Development test (GDT), with or without specific prerequisites. 2. Have interrupted full-time studies for at least 12 months
  • Be at least 18 years old when the training is to begin
  • Hold a Secondary School Diploma or a Secondary School Vocational Diploma, or its recognized equivalent
  • Meet qualifying standards of Emploi-Québec’s Mesure de la formation de la main-d’œuvre.
